some really nice looking bugs there medhvy!.. i especially like the bumble bee looking one. i dont know alot about hair jigs but i heard that bear hair is hollow so it floats and moves well in the water, u ever try it? does deer hair have those same qualities?

i have not used bear hair yet. Deer hair does seem to have those same qualities. It does have to be packed pretty tight in order for the bug to float. i will have to check out the bear hair.

cool.. i'd b interested to know how it turns out for ya!
there was a guy i knew in illinois who made his own handtied bass jigs. he swore by bear hair, always sayin 'it breathes like it's alive!'.. i never used his jigs, but he always caught plenty!
