I am going to seriously consider taking on a contract with them also.

Last I had priced At&t the unlimited service ran around 120+ a month, I hope they come in cheaper but doubt it.

AT&T is rediculously overpriced for the crappy service they have.

AT&T, Centennial(who I had) and Verizon had crappy service in lower Cameron Parish after Rita.
I had to go with Sprint, they were the only ones who had towers down there right away.
No issues with their smart phones yet, except that they are smarter than me.

I really do love my Verizon service...but you do not get service on big lake

They claim to have the fastest broadband...What happens when I want to make a call!?:shaking: Their phone service sux!

That's why they changed their motto from "The company with the fewest dropped calls" to "The nations fastest broadband network" but its all crap IMO.

When you get out of any town or off of any major highway you will not have service with Verizon. Trust me on this one. I have service with both
AT&T and Verizon at this time.

Sprint works best for me on and off the water. I also have an at&t smart phone through work and the service sucks. You cant even get service in the Morial Convention Center. It was hilarious everyone walking around with the iphones and ipads that dont work but my evo with full bars.

Ditto Sprint for out of the way places in SW La. They have lottsa towers everywhere.
Centennial had great prices, zero dropped calls but they lacked towers and their local customer service sucked so bad, I threw a phone down on the floor and stomped it, then walked out. They called the PoPo on me. I guess they figgered they lost my business, so they would sic the police on me.
Every time I walked into their store, they wanted me to sign another 2 years service contract or they wouldn't help me with my issues.
I would call the main office and they had to take care of me from Arizona.

news today said Verizon will start selling the iPhone Feb 10th

Yea I have an EVO with Sprint also and am very pleased with their service.

Sprint is the best in SWLA by far!

I have AT&T with an iphone and everything unlimited .... my bill is $95 a month and half the time i cant call out, but my e-mail, text and everything else works ...... gets me really fired up:pissed:..... i would take Cenntenial back in a heart beat!!!!!

i never had no trobles wit mine....i had the same iphone 3g for like 3 years before it started messin up

yep same prob here I try to call out and I get two beeps...really pisses me off...

Verizon has picked up the Centennial towers between Lake Charles & Lafayette and south to the gulf from Eunice. They have been making up grades to the towers and service with Centennial is a lot better. My AT&T company phone is pitiful, I was in Lake Arthur looking at the tower and didn't have one bar.


Sprint will try to break it off in your arse if you are not careful. My wife had a sprint phone and she would have to drive about 1/2 a mile to the hwy to get service, this is between Jennings & Lake Arthur and this is not in a wooded area. She called them to see what could be done to get better service, they changed her phone number saying that would help but it didn't. She then called them back to tell them not to renew her contract, which they do automatically in case you are unaware of it, because she couldn't use the phone at home. We switched her to Centennial and received a bill for almost $300 from Sprint saying she breached the contract. After an hour on the phone and her screaming at the idiot on the other end, I got on and told them to go back to their recordings and check the date she called. The manager came back on and told me he made a mistake and he owed us money. They won't get my business after a screw up like that.

Ill keep my Droid over the iPhone any day........BUT, don't go to a small town like Eunice and expect to make a call......hope Verizon picks up the service when they get centennial ........when I had centennial I had service EVERYWHERE

i get pretty good service on big lake with my sprint, but it's terrible over here in this area once you get out of town.
