Don't wade around trolling sailboats.

Cutty713 01-13-2011 11:33 AM

AWESOME, I've been dying to try this. I only wade in the DuLarge area in the middle of summer on the barrier islands. We catch numbers there, no real big size like Big Lake. So where/when should I go and of course what should I use? Do I walk there or boat ride then jump out? Isn't it rather nippy to be in the water now or are yall prepairing for the summer. TIA

Longcast you are a pro arent you? With all these fish ya been catchin maybe ya outta stay in da boat

speckdaddy 01-13-2011 11:45 AM

Hey cutty!!!!! Yea bud men my buddies have a ton of spots dat ya can walk in or drive ya boat out to. Now da baits are a different story with the corky craze im sure everyone has a few but prolly let em rust cus they dont catch on em. Use em but fish sslloowwllyy and if ya want a detailed map on areas ta wade drop me an email and ill hook you up!!!!

Im interested in doing a little wadefishing. Id like to try when the water temp is a little warmer, say spring time. Ive heard that summer is bad cause of stingrays and sharks. Ive never been to big lake at all, so any info would be greatly appreciative.

speckdaddy 01-13-2011 12:25 PM

Summer is when i love ta jump in. Screw dem rays n sharks. They dont bother ya much. Anyone else wanna help me help these guys out with sum info????

Get a wade belt. Their awesome. Mine has 2 rod holders and a small tackle box and pliers holders as well as 2 drink holders. I fished with big kahunaz and his friend in little Florida last summer..... Just try different baits. Boga grip to handle em. Throw back anything bigger than 22"

evis102 01-13-2011 12:33 PM

Being 5' tall makes your fish look big.
