2nd split ducks
 

here are some pics of some 2nd split hunts ....all and all pretty good killed lots of pintails most i've ever killed in one season...don't have a pic of our x-mas morning hunt (unbelievable)

Looks like a good second split to me, ours has been good as well except for yesterday, it sucked only killed 5 with 3 of us, just wasn't any birds flyin

didn't fire a shot yesterday morning went back in the afternoon 2-4 killed 2pintails 3 spoons

Congrats on the pintails....I have heard the PI area is loaded with them. We have only shot 18 this years per my count/log. We see a lot but they do not want to decoy. However, we have killed over 50 plus mallards and 40 plus greys. Glad I decided to stay on my new lease in Kaplan.
301 birds killed as of today....144 of those big ducks with only 27 SPOONS.......we have had a good year.

BTW, yesterday 2 of us got 3 teal & 3 mallards. This morning 2 hunters, 4 teal, 2 mallards, 1 pin, 1 spoon..

lost track of total ducks during season . i know during just teal season we had 176bwt 1 gwt

as of today im guessing around 500 ducks 2 snows 1 spec during duck season overall pretty good year

Man thats some awesome hunts right there! :eek: Us we had ducks and a few geese the first split, now the second split no ducks but a s*** load of geese!

well not a bad year around 700 birds counting teal season not tooo bad

Looks like yall shot a lot of BW Teal during big duck season. I bet we did not kill 10. Most of ours were GW Teal....

we get a good mix of bwt and gwt

90% of the teal we killed this year were bluewing, kept waiting for the greenwing to show up but never really did.

oh and we killed 3 bands this season 2 bluewing drakes and a mottled drake in the pic above
