Crazy how jammed the rear hatch is with two power pole pumps on a bass boat, mechanics nightmare!! I like the power pole, but why would you ever want to drag them while on step? Minn kota has the advantage of only needing a power and ground to run it. Remote feature is standard, and is easily removed to store.

Is it really necessary to have two of them?

yea montauk but we are not mechanics we fish i just put the video because some people were asking would you prefer power pole or the minn kota talon. As a person that always has people in the boat i think the talon will get in the way because it always is up where as the power pole u can put down and it can be out of the way. I also think the power pole is alot stronger than the talon. I would like to see some video of the talon in use.

I may be wrong but i view a hydraulic pump as being superior to an electric spring mechanism when it comes to pushing into an oyster reef

Montauk17 01-18-2011 08:41 PM

Im not going against what you are saying....just like everything else there are pros and cons. I would stick with the power pole untill the talon is proven on the market for a few years.

calcutta37 01-18-2011 08:49 PM

IMO the talon looks cheap and only time will tell if it can hold up to saltwater fishing....

Montauk17 01-18-2011 08:59 PM

Yeah im curious how it will keep corrosion out the inside of the talon.
