Rigs/Platforms
 

Tried posting this in another thread and got no hits, so I'll try here.

Don't usually post looking for advice, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Which rigs/platforms close to the Cameron Jetties do you guys fish? Specifically, which CLOSE rigs, accessible by a 22 foot bay boat, do you guys fish? It seems like every summer when I get to fish, it's always too rough to venture out. I'm hoping when I get down there in August I'll be able to check it out.

What are you trying to catch? Just trout?

trout primarily.

There are always a few rigs stacked about 6 or 7 miles off the jetties. They are easy to see. Other than that, there are jackets and caisons to the West and a couple of new
ones to the East between Cameron and Rutherfords Beach. I wouldn't go no farther
than that offshore.

Any of the platforms out there you will find trout!!! Even the smaller ones hold fish!!! Sometimes you just have 2 bounce from platform to platform to find them......
