Wife and I took a ride out to the blind and farm area to look around.......

Where were these ducks during the season???? My blind was loaded along with a lot of other areas

This is due to the weather. For the last 2 days we have had rain which keep the ducks moving. Too bad this is going on after JAN 23rd.

It's also been frozen up in N LA for the past couple of days and the birds have been up there for the last few weeks

This is east of Lake Arthur off Farm supply road by my duck blind... In about a 5 mile radius they had to have 50 000 ducks

yea i think they know when the season ends...... same thing with doves, they will be thick until right before 12 then they disappear!!

I had a local (St Bernard parish) guy tell me years ago, the best hunting is in March..............:cheers:
