U can catch reds and flounder at all of them. "Blue Crab" and "North Line" especially. Im not sure if Hog Island still closed.

I drove by there Sunday morning and saw about 5 or 6 people fishing. Gates on both sides were open.

I hope the people [fishermen / castnetters] keep it clean.

It opened last summer (?) and was closed back down because the people left such a big mess on the piers.

Great report. Were you fishing from the docks or from a boat?

redroaster 02-16-2011 10:34 AM

hog Island Closed

I was there today, and the game wardens came and ran everybody off!

Said it was closed from October to March. Just wanted to let everyone know. Damn shame too--been catching some fish there.

Attention!

Hog island gully is closed from the ship canal to the weir. Ldwf agents advised me this weekend. Closed till march 15th. Sad thing is we were raping the reds-every cast. Ldwf guys were nice, just asked us to leave , come back 3-15-11.
