Dead birds in Lake Street
 

I am just getting time to post on our wildlife biologist reasons for birds running into vehicles as shown on channel 7 news cast Friday at 5:00. They (Wildlife and Fisheries Biologist) said the birds were tested and they were not diseased . They probably flew into the moving cars due to mating activity...Please do they think we are stupid in all my 55 years have I have never seen this many (100 plus) birds dead on the road..There is something going on and they are clueless. Can't they just say they don't know what's going on... Last month, a 100 or so birds were found dead
There answer then was they flew into high lines in the area..If I was the universities turning out these biologist I would be embarrassed..

Thats crazy because ive been noticing that around my area, lots of dead owls and other birds dead on the road. More than usual

This is happening all over the southern United States. How do 400 starlings and grackles fly into a power line? (New Roads, La.) since they didn't show signs of electrocution ,that means that 400+ birds had to fly into a wire that's maybe 1.5 " in diameter at a fast enough speed to kill them on the spot
There is more to this than anyone wants to admit.

Talked to an ag inspector this past week,that came to inspect my trees. We were talking about those blackbirds that peck the heck out of our unripened oranges the past few years. She said that was one of the reason for alot of the dead birds lately,cuz they were poinsoning them.:eek: She said the fda aint saying nothing bout it though.

How could a bird electrocute itself without being grounded?

I don't know what's going on but don't give me these lame reasons, and remember

was it a european swallow or an african swallow?

If that many bird were hit by vehicles it must have happened to a lot of people.

Would there not be someone reporting that they were driving there and it happened to them????????????

I think it was reported that one of the times it was Red winged black birds.

Another time it was Swallows.....don't remember which kind.


Do you think that the LDWF or EPA put out the word to the news stations to report the "vehicle" story?

now I wonder why my niece is always asking me for BBs for her red ryder. I think I, me, we, he, she, they, them have/has/had our answer.
