Bad News
 

Had to bring the boat to the shop because it won't start..... Guy just called.....$4500 to fix it. Blown power head, warped flywheel, starter gone, all motor electrical is fried.....

Anyone know of a place to get a used 2 stroke motor...make don't matter...prefer a yamaha....beggers can't be choosers....price list is as cheap as possible

Break Out Another Thousand....giving the age of your engine that is about the average lifespan of a 2 stroke carb motor. Sucks bro I will keep an eye out for a used one for you.

My Uncle rebuilds motors for him.
They may (MAY) give you a little something for your old motor.

yeh u can at least get something for your lower unit. try the boat yard in marrero for a used motor.

A "refurbished" one from e-bay will be better than the one he has. :rolleyes:

That is the guy I was talking about when you called Jordan. Could not think of the name. Been there a few times,he has alot of used motors.

Well Pookie just dropped mine off to get the choke fixed last week. Come to find out my transom is extremely soft and my motor was about to fall off. Gonna cost me $1k to put a metal bracket on the back to reinforce it.

Jordan sorry to hear the bad news.... If you look around enough I am sure you can find something. If I hear of anything I will let you know.

What H.P.? i know some one with 2 used Merc. 200 little old but hardly used and cheap. And he lives 5 minutes from the lake.
