Sealing small tears in waders

I have a pair of old waders that I am giving to a friend of mine...they are used and have a couple of small holes. I was wondering if anyone has sealed holes and what you used to seal them. I was thinking rubber cement in the holes then spread over to make a good seal.

Yep that's what I use.

It is possible to seal a leak with a tire patch depending on where the hole is. We've done it to a neighbor's waders a few times in the past and they are still going strong. It has to be in a place where the patch can adhere to the wader correctly and can be buffed,

Seems like a variety of substances will work..

Ray- Went yesterday to see if they had some patch kits, and a snotty 18 yr old kid told me they did not carry them. Rushed my question to answer a personal phone call. Bastid

And us folks that would do a good job and know about customer service can't get a job there.

Just go buy some "Marine Goop." They got it at Academy or West Marine. Day 1: Roll them inside out and blob that crap on the inside and let it dry. Day 2: Turn them back out and blob that crap on the outside and let it dry. Presto! Everytime I have tried to use a patch, I jumped in the marsh to find out that they are still leaking! :pissed: I just don't know how to put them on right I guess.

I have just accepted the fact that I will live the rest of my life with leaky waders. Hasn't failed me yet.
