Cameron ship channel ferry
The Motor Vessel Cameron Ferry #2 will be removed from service Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 12:00 noon for required five (5) year dry docking service. Ferry will be out of service indefinitely.
The replacement M/V Acadia will be in service during this period. Maximum vehicle length of 51 feet will be permitted. Boarding will be just north of Cameron #2 landing site. Thanks for the heads up Ray. If I need to go to Martin West I know I have go the long way around. Without this info I would have found myself making a big loop.

There will still be a ferry there, but loading a truck/trailer combo may be an issue. It is a side loading ferry that you have to drive around the center pilot house.
It is a pain with a trailer. |
