Superior canal/Rockefeller

Looking for some info on this area. Not asking for anyones honey holes, just general places to fish and to avoid. Looking on google maps there is alot of canals and ponds, trying to snag a few reds on the fly rod.

Ryan, let the wind lay down and we will go learn it together.

Sure thing,my boat is just about ready to sight fish out of. I am about to order a push pole soon and we are ready.

I finally found a 16x48 that is set up pretty nice. I do still need to get the starter looked at when I have time to bring it to you. Also want to get with you on prop and motor height. It's running 25-26 gps so not sure if I can really do anything with it.

Bring it on....I can do that at my house. The speed sounds decent for that size boat with a 25hp.

I thought so also, just wasn't sure. I was getting 31-32 gps in the 14x36 riveted marsh boat.

Rockefeller via Joseph's Harbor

Had the best luck at the western point at the mouth of Joseph's Harbor into the gulf. Has to be no wind though. It can get rough. Reds pile up there. If the dolphins are there - so are the reds.

I have fished there before, looking more for areas off the beaten path.

What brand pole, how long and where are you getting it. Maybe I can help you out.

I'm sure we can go get stuck somewhere. ;-)

16 foot stiffy push pole...would like a longer one but dont want it to stick out over the bow. I had one before but someone wanted it more than me...

I'll see what I can come up with.
