BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — LSU students were shocked to learn that an American flag at the Memorial Tower was torn down and burned last night. It happened not long after the announcement of Osama Bin Laden’s death.
LSU Police are working the case and say they have a lead in the investigation. They hope to have an update this afternoon.
Students and former SG Presidential candidate David Jones are holding a noon vigil as a “prayer for peace.” Our Kelsey Scram is tracking that story now. We will have that report for you tonight on NBC33 News at 5 p.

This is the kinds of stuff we shouldn't need cops for. If anyone sees someone burning a flag they should shoot on site. No questions asked.

Saw on the 10pm news last night the that the ROTC had taken up guard around the flag pole with another flag. And these boys weren't some little nerd ROTC guys either, they had some beef backing them up. At 6am this morning, they had releif! Glad to see we still have some people caring for old glory!
