Costa Lenses
Are the 580's really worth the extra hundred bucks???:help:
|
yes!
Have green mirror 580's for big lake & blue mirror 580's for offshore. Worth every penny imo. |
my buddy has 580's. he paid like $275 for them. all i have ever worn is 400's. i have worn his 580's before doesnt seem like that big of difference. but maybe so. i just cant justify spending extra $100. ill just buy an extra pair for that much.

yes and you can find the real ones new on ebay for 175 with the 580 lense
|
I have heard the 580's will cut a little deeper into the water than the 400's
|
If your sight fishing there is nothing even close!!!

580's all the way...worth every penny!

I just recently went to Costas, mainly cause I could afford them at the time. I went straight to the 580's and got them for $169 in blue mirror, on the Stringer frame. I was amazed what it did. The first weekend I had them, we got on some fish on topwater and I could actually see fish before the hit. Very impressed!

Well, looks like 580 it is. Thanks guys.

I have a few pairs of each. To me the 580's are not worth the extra money. The lens tend to crack alot easier than the 400's when dropped. And are a good bit heavier. I have also seen the 580's laminate seperate. Most people that I have sold 580's and 400's to tend to go back to 400's. Just my 2 cents.

kinda off topic but as I was slipping my costas on today, the frame snapped in half right in the middle. I couldnt wait for these to be sent back to me, so i just went and bought another pair with the 400 lenses......I wore my buddies 580's for a while saturday on the water and really couldnt tell that much difference.

i was just looking at costas on ebay. they have some 580s for cheap on there! go check it out.
