Does anyone make this kind of set-up ??

Im wanting to have my direct tv and WII plugged into my tv at the same without having to turn the tv to change the cords. This is causing real bad scratches on my entertainment center.

Its a male yellow, red, and white that splices into 2 female yellow, red, and white.

Sorry, the pic is like "W" 's pics.

How old is your TV

Do you an "input" selector on your remote or onscreen menu?

What are the other inputs on your TV and what are they labeled? Best thing you could do is post a picture of the back of your TV where the plugs are or the page from your manual if you still have it.

TV is a dinosaur.... there is one yellow, red and white female and a cable screw in nipple.

thats it

i do have a input selector on my remote, but i have to turn the tv, remove the directtv cables (red, yellow and white)-----------then plug in the WII cables, then turn the tv back around..... Im wanting to have them both hooked up at the same time and only have to turn off satellite and turn on WII

catch.and.fillet 05-14-2011 10:36 AM

try this:
Screw your direct tv onto the "nipple" (coax) and then plug your Wii into the yellow, white and red female (RCA) connectors. To use your Wii, tune your set to channel 3 or 4 or whatever your Wii is set up for and then select "VCR" or "input" on your remote to toggle between the TV. Be sure your Wii is turned on before you try this. You do have a remote, right? The button may be labeled "TV/VCR".

Hope this works for you.

If it don't work, tell us what the YWR RCA connectors are labeled....

i'l try it tonight when i get home. I dont believe there is a coax cable for directtv, its only YWR

catch.and.fillet 05-14-2011 10:42 AM

Alright. Good luck.

Direct TV should have a coax option. it's coax from the dish to your box. It's older technology than the Wii.

Next best option is to put a turntable/lazy susan under your TV. I think they sell 'em at Wally world.

i'll probably go that route, hell i might get mad and take a hammer to the tv and go get a flat screen to hang on wall......

weedeater 05-14-2011 10:53 AM

i know thet sell the tails that have a yellow on one end and 2 on other, or just get some longer red, yello and green tails or extensions and make it where the reach around the side so you can swap them

GF hates the idea already, but oh well.... its liable to happen.... i might "accidentally pull the tv out too far and kinda slam it on the floor and break the front"

This TV is so old, it makes a humming sound when it turns on and it dims the lights in the house. It wont turn on if its below 70* inside.
