So what is the key to locating the flatties this time of year?

Nice job, best table fare on the lake.

I let my buddy from baton rouge take em home. As soon as he gets the pics to me I will post em up. He said he would take some. It's not so much the time of year but the location you fish. Concentrate on the drop offs in the channel.

what are you using for bait?

SaltyShaw 05-17-2011 07:55 AM

Tandem rig with a small glow/chart skrimp and a Chart GULP swimming mullet in the back is what i have been catching them on.

Also just a 1/4oz Jig Head with a Chart GULP Swim Mullet bouncing on the bottom works well.

This or a 3" white shrimp gulp

SaltyShaw 05-17-2011 08:42 AM

Word pearl skrimp is the ticket also, pearl swim mullet is pretty good to.
with those three baits you will be in good shape for flounder!
