Good job RR..

AWESOME report.

What were you using for bait?

Capt. Ryan Rachunek 08-05-2009 04:12 PM

Cigar minnows and red/white squid tipped 6oz snapper slappers. 2-4 cranks off the bottom.

CatDaddy 08-05-2009 11:52 PM

You see who your friends are huh Ryan... Nobody tells you "good job" but me...

Hey Rackem.... Clean out ya Private Message Inbox... Trying to send you some mail..

Matagorda OS 8/5

I can tell you that he isn't lying. I was fishing with him, Capt Jesse Arsola, Jesse's son Payton, and Mark(?) can't remember his last name, in Marks new 25ft Transport XLR8. Bad *** boat we ran 35-40 mph coming in and it handled the 2fter's with no problem.

We boxed a limit of snaps, and some gray's, had 4 or 5 little to medium kings on light tackle, and a couple small ling from under the shrimp boats, and of course sharks and a few reds. Lost something big that took me into an anchor chain...the cork sucker!!!:pissed:

Good day, and I took a few pics early of Payton and Jesse holding a king, but no more after that due to fishing, sweating my azz off, drinking a few, and being tired. Meant to get some at the cleaning table, but didn't feel like getting the camera out...sorry if that makes the report not true.

Whatever...I got no agenda with anyone here. If I wasn't at work I'd post up the shot of Jesse and his son if that would make you feel better.

I can say this...fresh pan grilled snapper sure tasted good for the last 2 days!

The report may sound true, and very well may be true. Just that the time that it came out and the situation that provoked it made it seem false. BUT..... why cant we ever get a good picture of Rackem with some fish?

Do you get TSF magazine? He has a picture that was taken by Capt Ernest Cisneros of Ryan holding a 34" snook he caught wadefishing when he was down in South Padre last month. Its in the magazine, believe they have an e-mag also. Very informative magazine on Texas from Sabine to lower coast and offshore.
I went two weeks ago and caught a 31 3/4"...getting a replica swimming coffee table mount done of it, should be pretty sweet.

FlatoutFishin 08-07-2009 06:43 PM

Oh yeah...and he did leave early for the Astros azz whoopin....I had to clean all the fish! :pissed:

Not ignorance, good question. It will have a base made out of sand/ shell with some grass that looks like turtle grass from where I caught it. The replica will be painted on both sides to look like its swimming , the lure will be used in someway.
I call it a coffee table mount because you can put it on a coffee table as a center peice, or on a shelf, or anyplace you have room for it.
I've seen some done in glass tables too, which would be my ultimate dream mount....all filled with 30+" specks.

ok, so you'll be able to see both sides of fish instead of one side being attached to drift wood...pretty cool!
