Back to topic! I have found that when the BP is above 30.00 it really doesn't matter what the winds are, the surf will be fairly calm. There is nothing wrong with sandy colored water at the beach. In fact I find sandy water to be the best on the beach. I watch the BP more than wind speed and direction when planning a trip to the beach.

Florida is for sure a drivable beach. They have a truck entrance.
Now that im thinking about it... all of its drivable, just stay out the soft crap
|
There are signs put up after the BP spill from the rocks to Lil Fla. that say no driving on the beach. They planted new grass on the dunes and just South of the dunes and people were driving across them on 4 wheelers. They plugged off the roads and cuts to the beach from the highway too.
I posted pictures of the piles of debris they used to plug off the access ways to the beach last fall.
