Ray, Any idea how far down the beach you can drive. I haven't been down to Rutherford Beach since before RITA. I use to be able to drive all the way to Cameron.

I have not been the Ruterford's in a long long time. I was afraid to go past the end of the road. The sand was real soft there for ~100 feet before it got harder near the water. I only had the "215" size tires then, so they were a little skinney.

Kinda what I'm worried about. My tires are way bigger than that but my suburban is very heavy also.

Did you use to fish with Jerry down there?

Nice! lol! Got stuck last year on Holly Beach first thing in the morning. Not fun. Took some work to get out of that mess.

Bring a shovel and a bucket. Fetching water with your bucket and pouring it out onto the sand after you dig out a little bit helps to pack it and make it a harder surface to drive on.
