Got a late start yesterday morning. Tried to drink all the free whiskey at a party Friday night. Had a rough hangover. Caught a few fish on top water. Then a giant gulp only about 15 yards from the boat. I knew it was a good fish soon as it struck. My girlfriend had hooked into a nice trout and it was peeling some line. It walked her around the boat a few times and she did a good job bringing it to the net. I knew the fish was at least a 6. Weighed her on my cheap digital scale that I keep in the boat and it said 6.4. I decided to call it a day and take the fish to be weighed in the women's division of the STAR tourny. Last I checked, the fish leading that division was less than 5lbs. So we weighed her in and it was 6.40. Appears dat my cheap scale is pretty accurate. Oh, and it's her biggest trout to date. Too bad she didn't catch it last Saturday during the trout shootout.

Yeah she was pumped. It was the only one she caught yesterday. Had some blow ups but no hook ups until dat one engulfed her plug.

I'd be pretty happy with that fish next Saturday for the YMBC tourny.

LOL me too and I hope she takes her guide with her on da cruise. I'd be surprised if it holds up but we'll get her a bigger one.

The water was clear and green and she caught it on a super spook jr. clown color!

I asked her, since it was her biggest, if she wanted to put it on her wall. She said she wanted to eat it. Soooooooooo, she is turning it into a turd as we speak.
