Need to get rid of a vehicle? Just drive it down the boat launch at rotary point! :D

iron man 06-13-2011 12:21 PM

Some people are stupid or just don't know how to drive.

What better way to get rid of a stolen vehicle drive down the landing at 3 am get out put it in neutral & walk away.....
There's a pond not far from my house that's right beside the road in a curve, they drained it several years ago & found a car......the dude was still in it!!!!! He had been missing for about 15 years

Thats nuts!

Stolen?...Or, reported stolen? Fire and flood have both become popular ways to get rid of vehicles that people no longer want or, can afford. When "Cash for Clunkers" came along, a lot of folks that had a POS that was likely paid for were suddenly inclined to go get a new car since it was a gov't issued deal. Shortly after, a lot of these cars started getting "stolen" or "vandalized" to the point of total loss.

I read a report on this a while back. I'm gonna look for it. Will post if I find the link.

They also find a lot of cars at the launch on Fitzenretter road in north Lake Charles.

Last I heard they were going to make a little park there for all the Obama supporters that live in the area. I always wanted to ride down to that launch..... but figured I needed to have a few people with me to feel safe.

X2. They had a man in St. Amant go into Black Bayou under a bridge in his car. His family searched for him for about 4 weeks. 2 days before they found his car, we were fishing under the bridge right where it went in and didn't realize it. Saw something big on the fish finder on the bottom, but thought it was a tree caught between the pilings. We actually caught some nice sacs right there those 2 days, but when we found out, we were horrified.
