Calcasieu River this afternoon
 

Fished Calc. River behind Walgreen's this afternoon with son, Garrett. Managed only 1 redfish. No bass. Still learning the area. Fun afternoon, though.

Nice catch man. That one red sure did put a big ol smile on his face and that makes it a great day!

yeah, he fought it for about 5 minutes. Once it got in the deep water of the river it really began to take drag. Had to run him down with the troll motor to keep from stripping reel clean.

RELEASED TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY...

Nice fish. I am hungry for some grilled redfish now that one would have been perfect.

I'll keep it next time and give you a shout and you can come pick it up in da bluff! ! !
