Venice
Took the new boat down to Venice Thursday night . Ran out to Breton island Friday am found no bait workin and stained water. Caught a few dinks and decided to run to grand gossier island .... Same situation. It got pretty stirred up on the way in and the new boat handled it great. By the time we made it back in the river the wind laid down so we ran down rivet to head offshore . We made the 24 mile run down river and ran another 15-20 offshore . Started fishing in 70 ft of water but all small snapper so we ran to 180' of water . I'm a trout fisherman so this snapper/ offshore ain't really my thing . I bought a few new rod/ reel set ups but we couldn't get the fish up! Freaking tanks breakin 8olb leader! Started pitching baits to mangroves .... Freaking awesome their first run is bad to the bone .
Sat am ran down river to try for some trout no luck headed back offshore and got on a good red/ mangrove bite http://tapatalk.com/mu/a6890fea-8ad3-82af.jpghttp://tapatalk.com/mu/a6890fea-8ae4-5462.jpghttp://tapatalk.com/mu/a6890fea-8afa-d50e.jpg |
