dude bring your rod and reel and jig heads, and gulp shrimp you will catch flounder in the troughs of the surf...... I was in destin this past week didn't have a whole lota luck but that area but I have fished closer to gulf shores and did really well mostly flounder and a few reds

X2 there JG Gulp in da surf is where its at for flounder.....bring three rods....stick two in PVC in da sand with sand fleas or shripm tightlined on the bottom as far as you can cast.....put gulp on the third rod and fish the troughs like my boy said. This will MAX your chance for success.
I have caught reds, blues, spanish, hardtails, ladies, flounder, pompano, jacks, sharks, cats, suckers.....all in the surf between Destin and Gulf SHores.

Hope this helps
