Campfires have solved a many problems, politics, religion, and have kids have learned alot of life lessons while sitting out with the men. My Grandpaw would let me "hang out" with the men but I was sworn to never repeat what was said around the camp fire, and I learned alot by listening to the old timers

absolutely...I still love listening to stories told around the campfire...or just stories in general when friends are hanging out and having a good time together...more kids need to be brought up that way...:)

Yep, the first rule of camping with the 'grown-ups', " What you see at the camp, what you do at the camp, what you hear at the camp STAYS AT THE CAMP.....

Big Lake Blondie 08-11-2009 06:27 PM

and another great thing about the cold weather and camping is the food...Just tastes better when you are camping...:D

Big Flounder 08-11-2009 06:30 PM

You also meet alot of great people camping. Nothing better then getting together with alot of friends and cooking and just down right having a good time. I love the outdoors!!!

Had a many a good time around a campfire or in a tent next to one. I know a few ole gals that might have had as much fun as I did at the time...at least it seemed they did while we were there lol. Nothing like temps in the 30's and 40's light frost and a fire in the woods...makes some dang good "duck and goose" weather while in a fart sack.
