Eugene Island 74 or SMI 233/Tiger Shoals area?

Trying to plan a trip for this Friday. Anyone have any recent reports? I had one report from last weekend saying Tiger Shoals was a bust.

I know there is live bait place at Darnell Rd. and Hwy 90 in N.I., but can't think of the name of it. (Not Dago's, just called them, they haven't been getting any lately) Anyone know the name of the place I'm thinking of?

As promised, here is my report (such as it is). Launched at Burns Point this a.m. early, got beat up pretty bad going the 30 miles to 74. (forecast was for 1-2, but they sure seemed like 3's) We were the first boat there and tied up on the down current side. Within 30 minutes, there were six, count em, six guide boats anchored on the upcurrent side fishing with live bait. We watched them pull in some trout, more than we were catching for sure on our plastics, but they weren't really hammering them. Within about 30 minutes, four of them left and the other two kept pulling in trout, but not "killing em" if you know what I mean. We only ended up with a few, but we sure were catching bunches of blue fish, mackerel and while we hooked up several times with something big (weren't able to get them close enough to see), we believe they were probably sharks cuz they were even chewing through our leaders. Tried several platforms on the way in, but the water was not very pretty. (Water at 74 was gorgeous). That's all folks.

Live bait is sold on hwy 90 between weeks island rd and darnell rd. it is a boat dealer
I think they open at 4:30 on satursays
They also have the gas station in lydia that has bait since the bridge is opened.
Cant remember the name of the place.
