Maybe he dropped some fishing weights in its belly, before weighing it.

A friend from Cocodrie sent me a text saying a 14lber was caught on Big Lake a few weeks ago. When I opened the pic it was John's 9. I almost fell out. Amazing how fish stories spread...

This same pic was posted on another forum and the thread also said it was a 15# trout caught in LA.....

But it was debunked because someone knew the guy in the picture...apparently he is a rep from Academy. It was a 34" trout estimated at 10-11#, and they caught it near Rockport, TX.

FYI...That is a picture of Shane Pescay....Shane and Capt. Charlie Thomason(Team Academy Sports + Outdoors and TTF ProStaff member) caught 9 Trout between 27-34 inches while pre-fishing for the Corpus Christi HT Redfish Cup a few weeks ago near Rockport Texas....The Trout in the picture went 34" 10-11 Lbs....Charlie said they caught a 33 1/4" right before the 34"

They found those huge specks mixed in with a school of Redfish and Drum.
