Big Lake Red Fish Tagging

1 Attachment(s)
Tag shot of one of the brutes we caught Sunday morning. This red was a baby at 27" and 7.75#'s but is still in the lake. If you catch a tagged fish, please record the tag number and release it. There is a reward for anyone turning in tag numbers.;)

Don't get me wrong, I still love to catch and clean fish but tagging fish really turns my Crank. Have been trying to tag as many 10"-11" trout as possible because there are so many of them and I believe those trout will tell researchers more about growth and movement than larger trout. C.P.R. is totally different than shooting mallards and then taking pictures.

haha i hear you man, just had to take advantage of the facial expression. If you ever need a hand at going tag and release some fish, I'd be game to go. I just enjoy catching them and I'd rather see them swim away honestly.

You can have them chainsaw reds! Although, customers see a need to keep the big saws. I hope i catch one of your tags.

how much are the rewards for tagging fish? and where can you get the tags from?

jpeff31787 07-26-2011 11:20 AM

i'd be pissed if i catch one of your tagged fish instead of the star tagged lol

what a disappointment that would be!

It'd still be cool though
