DUCKGOGETTER 07-27-2011 08:29 AM

Good job! Hopefully the word gets around and the rift raft stops.

Top Dawg 07-27-2011 09:00 AM

Gasper Master 07-27-2011 09:03 AM

bjhooper82 07-27-2011 09:41 AM

That's good!!! I'm glad to hear this also!

LDWF had 13 agents listed that were working there the on the 2 weekends.

Gottogo49 07-27-2011 12:57 PM

At least they didn't just shut the whole place down to cast netting like the Feds did in Sabine.

Duck Butter 07-27-2011 01:00 PM

Seems like the major concern from shutting down the mudhole was health concerns. I can see that being a major issue. Kudos to LDWF

jldsc 07-27-2011 08:44 PM

Hell yea..bout time, hopefully it starts cleanin up in there and they can keep everything open!!

X's 1000....... Way to go LDWF, this is the approach we need. I trust, respect and appreciate LDWF way more than USFWS.

this is what should've been done instead of closing the citizens of La's fisheries...they need to be reminded they work for us and that this is the public's land, closing our lands for a small percentage of dirtbags is not the answer.

IMO.....there is something basically wrong with people that "trash" up any place.

Yes, give them a ticket...... make them pay lots of money. Then also make them come back [a bunch of times] to clean up the weirs.

Also.....the LDWF could be nice to them and keep their boat down a Rockefeller until there "community service" is completed.

Unfortunately, from what I have seen there, it is not just a small percentage of the people. More like 1/4 or higher of the people contribute to the problem.

I was at a WMA yesterday and one stretch along a public highway about 100 yards long the trash was very bad. It would have taken 2 or 3 big trash bags to put all the stuff in it. Overall....the WMA property was fairly trash free.......except for a few beer cans here and there. Why is it mostly beer cans that get thrown on the ground and not water bottles or coke cans? Some of the cans came home with me.

Wow....was it ever hot in the woods yesterday!
