My brother in law and i put in around I 10 bridge. Manage 11 reds.... 6 kept. Caught most on gulp swim mullet. BIL lost two on his stringer while paddling. Our biggest went a little over 27". Smallest was 19"...... I managed to hook up with 5 rat reds.

Oh yeah, I did catch an 18" drum... CPR and away he went. Soo much current it was hard to paddle in some spots... Tied up a rattltrap and trolled it behind us on our way back in. Picked up 2 like that.

tolling behind the yak, were you going against the current? Did you remove the front hook on the rattletrap to keep it from catching on the bottom?

SaltERedneck 07-31-2011 09:24 AM

i was only going against the current in a marsh very early morning... I only trolled the trap on my way back to the launch. current died by then and no i didnt remove the front hook... NO hangups fortunately!!!
