Verm. Bay Reef Report!!! Hi !!! My Fellow SC's.

Left Intercoastal City About 1;30 PM Was fishing @ the Reef for 2:30 after a short time stop 2 the rocks. First cast one small red.

Moved on to reef and watert was NICE! Picked up the Skeet Reese 7' with a glow gulp swimming mullet.

Several cast; nothing. Trolling to the so end of the reef. About the 8th cast; THUMP! Set the hook on a nice 3# trout. Flip him over the side. You got to LOVEEE that Suffix 12# Seige.

Then about 10 minutes later another one. Go on the back side of the reef on the north end and catch 3 back to back.

Start trolling back south a boat trolls right onto my stern after he see me catch 3.

When I slow down to fish one spot the guy holler get out of his way.

Another PILGRAM!! I give him the definition of Pilgram.

Any who I troll out and to the other side of the reef and Pick up a few more.

Another boat comes in next to me and starts throwing lives. and It was like a light switch.

They picked up about 15 fish 3-4 and maybe 5#.

I ended the day with 14 nice trout; most of them 3-4 #'s. Did catch a few males about 16".

The picture is a few of the few nicer trout. They are laying on a 48 Qt.

Solid trouts...I need to get out there soon! Did you try topwater any?

The reefs everyone talks about is in the GULF OF MEXICO out of southwest pass,not inside the bay. :spineyes:

Anyone that fishes vbay area knows he is fishing the reefs outside the pass by the description of his report.

There are 100's of underwater reefs south of SW PASS along the GoM.. JUST LIKE BL.

Heck I even give the bait, rod, and line I was using?? Oh I forgot! 1/4 oz (from OCR) jighead. DO you want me to include the Coodinates also???? THOSE WILL COST YOU!

I'm always looking for fishing partners to SHARE EXPENSES! BUT I BLINDFOLD all that fish with me until I get where I'm fishing!!! Just kidding !!

Gun was this today or yesterday you went out there? We went this am but got run off from a huge thunderstorm!!

nice catch!... You shouldve have invited those trout to come inside.

So BigUn...Just for my info..... Can you go in the bay right now and catch trout......What you would consider BAY....

Dude..... I know I can catch trout 10mins from Cym pt.... In the bay..... Cousin caught 66 yesterday. Afternoon...with my dad.....

W why not just call your cousin that according to you has a camp on the pt and slams the trout daily in the bay!:cool:

yeah my cousin and dad caught 75 off the state park warf yesterday. see what i did?

Cool...... I just want to prove a point... I know you can catch trout in ver bay..... See pics on Facebook every other day... Dad went yesterday...... 66 trout in the bay.... 45 or so on top water rest on sparkle beetles...
