E-Line Operator

What does an E-Line operator do? In laymans terms please.

Entry level? Whatever the supervisor tells you to do! ;-) LOL

Basically E-line is used to log wells and perforate new zones. Cheaper to use wireline for simpler things and they can do alot of the same things as Eline now. Much heavier lubricators and more additional equipment than needed in wireline. Good job but I really don't think they would work as much as wireline operator would. It is a service job and most of your offshore jobs would be duration. They are on call out and depending on the company weather they pay you a min week or make you come into the shop on your time off.

My Dad was wireline with Halliburton and my son works there now. I have worked with both. Any more questions IM me.
