Lake Charles Urgent Care is owned and operated by one of our own members Jay Marque (Drjay on our site). Dr. Marque is a board certified emergency physician and he can handle almost anything you would normally go to the ER for other than something that is life or limb threatening usually for a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time.

LCUC is open Monday through Sunday from 8-8 on Monday through Friday and 9-5 on both Saturday and Sunday (hours when your everyday doctor is closed). Obviously no appointment is necessary. The office is located near the intersection of Nelson Rd. and Country Club Rd. You can also call the office at (337) 990-8000 should you have any questions regarding their services. LCUC takes all major medical plans and your emergency room co-pay (which is usually very high) is not applicable.

Dr. Marque himself is a native of New Roads, Louisiana and he attended the U.S Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Marque left the Air force as a Lieutenant Colonel where he served as an emergency physician and flight surgeon. He returned to Louisiana and received his medical degree from LSU. Dr. Marque completed his residency in 2002 and is now board certified in emergency medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Marque lives in Lake Charles with his wife and two children and is very excited to be back in Louisiana and is looking forward to serving his community.

Thanks guys! For the record, I'm not affiliated with any of the other urgent care or walk-in clinics in town. I just opened last Friday. I'm the owner/operator of Lake Charles Urgent Care, and for now you will always see me if you come here. I will be getting another physician in the near future, but I personally guarantee that you will get high quality medical care any time you come to LCUC.

Thanks for being a sponsor. If you ever need specially compounded drugs, I recommend calling Boudreauxs New Drug off of west sallier...owner is a good Christian man, and drugs are compounded quick.
