Grand Isle keeper trout?

Where the heck are all the legal size trout in Grand Isle??? First time fishing here and I can't seem to find many fish bigger than 11 inches. Anyone have some advice? Went offshore this morning and still didn't catch much. Wind started picking up a good bit though. Hit the beachs and filled with baby arse fish.

Lotsa small trout fo sho, but hit the beach early with a topwater. Bigger baits usually mean bigger fish, I say that but I bet last wee I caught 4 or 5 pompano that were smaller than my bait!

This time of year if you don't have your trout by 8 am ( unless its's real cloudy)
It's pretty much a crap shoot.
This time of year if you are fishing birds or schoolies if you get one keeper for every 10 small trout you are doing good.
