Tilapia
Has anybody ever tried the frozen tilapia from Wal-Mart and if so what are some ways to cook it. I don't like fish that is strong so I'm reluctant to try it.

Fresh Tilapia aint bad but the frozen is pretty rank. I'd rather buy the catfish nuggets or fillets
|
very overrated, i would eat them if they were free, but not worth buying. They are not bad, but there are many things swimming around our waters that are better.
|
other places people go crazy for tilapia. i've only had it fried up , and it wasn't too bad

Tilapia aint that great. Aint worth buying in my opnion. Id rather eat some specks. Be careful if its from asia...they dont have the regs farm fish have here in America..
|
I'd rather eat specks anyday.

I prefer fresh fish that I caught. My wife was told about it by someone she works with. She cooks it in the MICROWAVE. I picked some up lastnight at Wal-Mart but just couldn't bring myself to do buy it. It had to much red on it. It did say it was farm raised.

I get it from Market Basket . The one here in town has the frozen individual packaged kind. I grill it and its not to bad ,but not as good as fresh specs .The talapia at O'Charleys is pretty good if you just wanna try it.

dont buy it frozen and make sure its from america. its a real white firm fish and has a good taste. put some tony's and salt and pepper throw it in a pan with some butter and olive oil and its a good eatin fish.
