How is the fishing and crabbing in this area down to Vermillion Bay. Also distance from the Highway 14 bridge to Vermillion Bay by boat.

Thanks

Fishing is good out the pass man. From the hwy 14 bridge I'd say you have about a 15-20 mile journey to the pass. There may be a better way. I'm sure someone here knows

Close to 40 miles from delcambre to the pass. Much closer if you you launch at the point or intracoastal city.

I agree.... You could drive to big lake and probably burn less fuel.

I'm new to fishing in this area. Normally fish around Grand Isle and Fourchon. But moved to Youngsville about 2 years ago. And looking for some good places to fish in that area.

Buy you a hook n line map for vermillion bay area,it has most of the good spots with gps coords. Be ready for PLENTY of company on the water if you fish on weekends. Just like any other area you gotta put time on the water to figured them out.
