2 hours later, it dropped 4 inches. Ascension Parish drainage sucks.

Raymond 09-03-2011 06:13 PM

Blown rain knocked the siding off my chimney and water coming n house!!!!!!!!

Ray 09-03-2011 06:17 PM

My dad got 2.5 inches of rain today by 4 pm. SW Lake Charles.

Marshrat 09-03-2011 07:08 PM

I don't have a rain gauge but I am guessing we got about 4" or better today here near Lake Arthur.

My rain gauge is right at 4inchs since it started...

Here in Jennings.....My dads cousin said they are over 6inchs at Cyp point

I think every drainage system in baton rouge and livingston is getting put to the test!

Dink 09-03-2011 07:24 PM

We're getting it slow and steady in laffy

That sucks, I can help you put the siding back up Monday after the adjuster has a look at it. ;)

Seriously, if you need some help Monday let me know. I'm working tonight and tomorrow night.

Probably got a half inch in the ford thanks to leaking brake light

Neighbors yard. They have a culvert running under the road. That culvert drains the subdivision that is 3 acres wide by 50 acres deep. It backs up into our yard when the culvert gets plugged up by branches and trash and we get 3+ feet of water in the ditch and 1-2 backed up into our yard. I'll see if I can find some more pics of my yard. I snapped this 3 hours after it stopped raining though at my house. Good thing this system has a light but steay rain. None of this drains directly into the bayou which is less than 100 yards away. It goes under the road and makes a ditch-canal that is way too small.

If you look in my neighbors yard, you will see just barely the top of the fire hydrant.
