Get a Brinkmans Smoke and Grill...you can get them at wally world cheap...less than $50.

Depends on what type of smoker you want....charcoal,gas,electric. I bought a cajun injector electric smoker a few months ago for around 200 bucks. Works great, don't have to babysit it like the other types.

I got one similar to the Brinkmans. I put a single propane burner under it instead of using charcoal. Havnt officially tried it this way yet, but im sure it will be easier.

I like electric...load it in the morning go to work and forget about it until you get home in the afternoon

Check craigs list in your area everyday, got a brinkman electric and a offset charcoal / stick burner for $75 and less in B.R. today.

I have had mine for about 2 years and love it. This is the same smoker that eman has also. You can get a 30 inch cheaper but you have to cut a rack of ribs to get them to fit.

I don't eat ribs much so I may just get a small one to start out with

SaltyShaw 09-10-2011 08:35 PM

Thank ya sir!

I got the cajun injector one

"H" 09-10-2011 11:12 PM

I have the Brinkman from Academy. On my second one. I think they are about $59 now.
Works great, I can smoke 4 yard birds at a time. Baby back ribs will usually fit, sometimes you may have to trim a bit. The smoked chickens make a great smoked chicken & sausage gumbo.
