Locations for Flounder Gigging close to Lake Charles??

Can anyone help. I'm trying to find a place around the Lake Charles area to do some wading flounder gigging. I went down to holly beach but the water wasn't clear enough to see anything might have just been a bad night.

Ive never gigged flounder or know anything about it but theres a point in west cove thats pretty sandy and shallow that may work. follow ship channel south and its the first opening on your right to go into the cove. I would like to try it to so maybe someone else can post something to help us out :)

I used to do that back when the trailer was there, they always ran me off, if you have a boat, behind rabbit island across from 2-10 launch can be good. Ive never had any luck on the channell side though
