Steering for flat
 
Havent had much time on here latley...been workin like booker t before the war...anyways my dad took my 17 foot flat out today and called me at work with issues...it has had the old cable steering system in it since the 80's...it has a ole 86 evinrude and is a beast it was my grandpaws and i will never get rid of it till the day i die or it sinks...anyways the cables/steering went out they are KIA and it needs to be replaced..ive been knowing for a while it needed to be....


soooo wat do yall recommend...im really not sure i know im not spending1k plus on hydrolics for a 25+ year old flat...is teleflx the way to go? if so how much does it run?? and wat kind? i really would like to spend under 500 on this but i guess will splurge if needed.....also its going to the dealership to have the motor completely ran through and checked out...if its lost compression and nothing can be done im slappin a 60 yammy tiller on that hoe...anyways id appreciate the help on the steering fellas...

if the motor is good by the teleflex, easy to install and found a dealer in bryan texas for 440 for everything....makes turning like a piece of cake...
