License Plate Tag

Boss picked up two tickets this morning and one was for an expired License tag. Checked mines and it expired in June but truck was bought in Feb 2011. I remember reading about the state not sending renewal notices out but can't remember why. Looks like this is another revenue enhancement measure by DMV.:pissed: Will be inline with my paperwork after lunch, say hello if you are there also.

They cut it out due to budget cuts, so they claim. I see this as a way to save $.10 and nail a bunch of folks for expired tags at the same time, in turn, generating revenue.

I here ya. They got me for improper tag placement and burnt light on my trailer a few weeks back. The plate was inside my truck, I got permanant tags on all my trailers. $244.00 please.

I got a tag renewal form for one of my trailers in the mail yesterday.

They also put into effect a new rule that trucks have renew their tags every year in June. Found out about that when I bought my new truck in May.

I know trucks with a certin weight rating have to be done every yr but did not know it was all of them. I bought a 2006 Ram 2500 and drove it for 2 yrs without renewing my tags:eek: talk about a shock when I relized that and you talk about fun trying to get it strait with the DMV

All this reminds me that I need to check mine.

They changed the law and any vehicle 6000# or more will be required to have a yearly plate. My aunt has a Chevy Traverse and it has a plate that is required to renew every June.

Get permenant tags on everything you can. It will cost more up front but be cheaper in the long run

That's what I do. It keeps the number of things that I have to remember down a bit!

3/4 ton truck is good for one year. You should have a B in front of the numbers on the plate. If you dont you could get a ticket. Half ton trucks do not require this. They have the four year plates.
