SaltyCajun.com - Rough Weekend in Montegut

Went out to Montegut this weekend. Started fishing Saturday morning hitting the normal spots in Madison Bay Water was a little muddy tide was falling but only managed one red. Went south from there to Lake Barre North part of the lake was muddy managed one Red. From there we hit the islands in the middle of Lake Barre water was a little better but no fish. From there we hit a few of the platforms south picked up one good red and tons of hard head. After that we figured we were 3/4 to Timbalier Island so what the hell. When we pulled up the water was beautiful tide was great figured we were going to nail them WRONG after an hour of fishing and not single fish we headed back to the launch.
Don’t know what was wrong tide was great all day water was beautiful in the south but the fish just were not interested.
