Cote Blanche Island

Here is a link to some pics I took last week on Cote Blanche Island. Its a salt dome island on the east side of V Bay/ Cote Blanche Bay, tons of wildlife out there

Click on the yellow frame up there that says cote blanche. They are large files and this site does not allow for many big pics

Nice pic's. I used to bow hunt there about 20 years ago. Did you have to get permission or is it open to the public?

Working there, will be back on it tomorrow and then headed to Bayou Sale. Its not public, hard to even get onto it. Place is loaded with wildlife. Hogs, deer, squirrels and mainly armadillos. Marsh in the center of it looks 'ducky' also:grinpimp:

I saw mainly cat squirrels on the island, but a few fox squirrels, but the cat squirrels are a little darker than what I am used to seeing, and the white belly is not very noticeable, may be another subspecies there that no one has cared to look into:)

Yes, you have to ferry across. Ferry runs a tight schedule too, better not be late
