Yaks

Thinking of joining the "yakking crowd". Where do I go for info on the best kayak to buy? Got interested after attending the "Tour de Teche" this weekend. Looks like a lot of peeps enjoyed their "yaks". Thinking I'd like to use it for some speck/red fishing and just fooling around. I'm 65 so I need something that will be easy for an old fart like me to navigate around in. Any comments will be appreciated.

I don't know alot about them but Pack and Paddle has them and what ever they sell they use. Ask to talk to Skip.

U live in Lafayette. Go to the Backpacker in River Ranch or Pack and Paddle on Pinhook and they will hook u up. I recommend Pack and Paddle.

go to pack and paddle. they are very helpful and now everything about yaks. you can rent any yak and try them out before you buy.

Pack and paddle has a demo coming up soon. They hold it at lake martin and you can try before you buy.

Pack and paddle will also bring 2-3 kayaks that you want to demo to lake Martin on any Saturday morning for free. Just call them say by Wednesday and ask them about it.

Hobies are awesome just wish they didn't cost 2 grand. I bet they are making a killing on the markup.

Yeh Specktator sold mine 20 minutes after listed lol
Hobie is very expensive but they hold their retail very well i would buy one again no doubt, you will lose some on it but not much!

A suggestion, buy a canoe.
Cheaper than a yak, more space and room.

I have a sit on Ocean. I just find the seating on a yak uncomfortable.

How long can you sit with your legs straight out in front of you?
