Neighbor across the highway's house got hit saturday. Took his tv, computers, dvd player, dvr, and stereo system so far that he knows of. This crap has gotta stop :pissed:.

Home invasions/theft is rampant over here in Ascension Parish lately. I know two people personally that have been hit, one of them, two times! Gonzales PD actually picked up 3 juveniles the other evening in front of my house who were casing cars...At least that's what we suspect they were doing. Two were under my carport and one was under the neighbor's. When my wife spotted them, they took off running but were stupid enough to walk back by while police were there. Unfortunately, they were minors and could only be cited for trespassing and I'm sure their parents were there quick to pick em up. In short, a slap on the wrist!

With the holidays coming on, everyone owes it to themselves to be a little more cautious. People/criminals seem to hit a LOT more in the holiday season.

Surprised you werent camped out. Hate to hear it. This injustice must be thwarted.....que justice league!

Again, aside from the smartass comments, it really has been at epidemic levels over here recently. Being here and seeing it happen time and time again, I'd be willing to bet that this isn't only in his mind.

Sounds alittle to organized to be minors. If it is going on during the day then it definately isn't. The "M.O." in my area was people casing houses by knocking on doors as if they were selling shrimp. If no answer they called the truck top come in and while a third acted as a watch out they BnT the house. So I would see if you have had any peddler action lately. As a neighborhood you need to get nosey with one another. Good luck!

I agree with ya. These are professionals doing this home invasion stuff. I do, however, know that the ones picked up by my house, doing nothing good, were juveniles.

These will prolly also not be locals. Tell your neighbor to check local pawn shops cause it does take a week or two for the law to get the pawn tickets in to see what came though. And by then the group has left the area.

Its mostly that little dude w that gets on my nerves.

This crap is getting out of control. He works for a company that lets him drive a company truck and leave his personal in the driveway so they have to be passing back and forth to know when he is there or not and there is a daycare at the end of my road with cars passing back and forth all day.
