The river is cleaning up nicely. The fish are starting to move in. it has been slow the last few weeks hit or miss. Only catching 30 or so one day and the next day do pretty good. But the river water is getting green and the fishing is ready to explode. To book a trip 504 382 2370. October is filling up i still have plenty days open in september. All fish were caught on opening night dudleys. Sorry the pics are blurry they are from my phone.

Nice pics there matt. Yak'em and I were just talking about fishing for triple tail in lake bourne. I am not sure about going out there with my 16 footer though.

Capt. Matt Caire 08-27-2009 04:41 PM

Meadium heavy. Them triple tail are pretty cool. I thing if u puck your day you can get out there and get em. They got a few down here cruising around the rigs offshore. We saw one more yesterday. We caught one last weekend and popped off 6. They pretty smart. They run back into the rig. But i bet in lake bourne if you find em around the crab traps they got nowhere to run and hide. Haha

Mediumheavyaction6'6 08-27-2009 04:47 PM

yeah i may convince myself to get bad one day. but i need a few more trips under my belt before i get too far from solid ground

Capt. Matt Caire 08-27-2009 04:51 PM

haha we sometimes get a wild hair to go out and catch cobia at the rigs in the gulf. We take the bayboats out to the rigs in the West Delta block. and not the close ones.

I have been 60 miles out of cameron in my old bay boat. Im not scared of the gulf but I do repect her. She can get mad quick

i used to go out 20 miles with a guy off the coast of Florida out of Tampa. In a 17 ft boat, now that is what i would call ballsy on his part stupid on mine. the only reason i was ok with it was because he had 25 years experience and any storms came up and we were out of there.
