11/25 in da bayou=no birds and a hurt dog

Went to JB this morning hoping for new birds and instead was greeted with an empty sky. We shot a one man limit out of 3 of us, very little didnt get shot. We shot a penny drake, spoony, gw teal, and greys. On a more important note, my main man Drake cut his foot fairly bad so he'll be on the injured reserved list for tommorrow and questionable for Sunday. Man seeing my dog in pain is truely like watching one of my kids being sick. Just let him out this afternoon and his foot was still bleeding, im spraying it with "wound-kote". Anything else i should be doing? I hate to see my main man down during his time of the year, especially after how hard he's been working. He's 66 for 66 this year which includes one 100yd retrieve after the cut today( didnt seem to bother him before the retrieve but came back lpin so I tied him up).

man hate to hear that shawn just give him some r&r and he'll be at it again. Just keep a close eye on it so it don't get infected.

A buddy's dog cut her pad and the vet just put some brine solution and wrapped it up. It was hell keeping that bandage on though

Add 1000 mg's kephlex, 500 morning and 500 night for a week. Wound kote 3 times a day. Call me if u need someone to take care of him, I can keep him on the truck and have empty kennel until next week.

Kephlex?? Where do i get it? Here's some pics of it.

Raymond 11-25-2011 09:24 PM

Keep him boxed (plastic kennel), wound kote, and kephlex and he should be fine in a few days. Pads heel up pretty quick but try to keep it dry.

Shawn Braquet 11-25-2011 09:30 PM

Again this kephlex you speak of, where?

simplepeddler 11-25-2011 09:56 PM

Yea, he is really going to not like you for keeping him in a kennel but he needs to keep still and heal.

Sorry to hear about him for sure.
But you have to get him heeled for the second split.
