Prescribed Fire in SW La?

Does anyone know of a LICENSED person who performs prescribed fire in Louisiana? Looking to burn some property in Allen Parish and the person who usually performs this is no longer around. There are a few outfits in Texas that are licensed in Louisiana, but ones in Louisiana are almost non-existent now. I figured someone knows or has a brother-in law, etc that does this for a living. Thanks

Some farmers are qualified to do this. May check with some if you know any.

May try calling Forestry and ask them. They are the ones that "license" people for this.

:grinpimp: That is the truth, the area that is to be burned is pristine longleaf pine and the reason it is so pristine is that it has been burned so much in the past (by arsonists!). Not sure why arson is such a big thing in this area, but who knows.

Got a call on Thanksgiving Day from a hunter saying there was a fire out there, the volunteer fired department came and put it out. Day after Christmas same thing, the fire dept came and put it out again. About 4 months later, several of the Allen Parish volunteer fire department members were arrested for setting fires to properties:eek::grinpimp: They were getting overtime for this and holdiay pay as well I am assuming?
