Big Lake 12-2-11
Went fishing with a couple of friends today. One guy from Wyoming and the other from Lafayette. We landed out of Heberts. Got in the water about 10:30. Went to the midlake area and started working some birds. Picked up a few each pack and then hit a good pack of specks and reds mixed and started slinging them pretty good. The fish were more aggresive than I thought they would be and we were working our way toward a limit of both and then I broke the trolling motor on the boat so we were dead in the water. Wind stopped blowing so I decided to take us up to Turners Bay and drift through that area. The most beautiful green water I have ever fished on Big Lake in my life. We drifted through some areas and ended up picking up about 10 more fish. Sending the brother from Wy. back with some filets and he is pumped. Did not count but I am thinking about 25-30 trout and 8-10 reds. We caught most fish suspended on Assasin Sea Shad- Pearl Chart but some were on the bottom as well. No pics. I think I need another card on my phone. Took pics and I cannot find them in my picture folder. Thanks to RigRatNoMeaux for the tips! Good fishing guys. EC
